Moms Best Brand Review

2/6/13

I realized I haven't really done a blog on organic and eco friendly cereals so with my lastest purchase I think its time to. I first bought the Moms Best Sweetened Wheatfuls, which taste just like the Kelloggs Frosted Mini Wheats. Since then I found the Cinnamon Plum Spiced multigrain hot cereal which is pretty much oatmeal and I was a little scared to try it but it was delicious and the aroma filled my whole apartment!

Unfortunately the moms best line only brings us breakfast, fortunately they have a few options which can be viewed at http://momsbestcereals.com/our-products/.

IMG_7613.jpgWhy I like the Moms Best Brand
- USDA Organic
- No Artificial Flavors/Preservatives
- No Hydrogenated Oils
- No High Fructose Corn Syrup
- Uses 100% Renewable Energy (purchases wind energy credits)
-  vegetable based inks used on packaging
-  packaging made from recycled content
- 95% of Moms Best waste gets recycled
-  Made in the USA
- Affordable

Now as always I'm going to tell you what I paid for the product. The Sweetened Wheatfuls I paid less than $3 for, I'm not positive how much since I bought those months ago... however this week I had my mom pick up more of their cereals for only .99 on sale, according to my local kroger ad the normal price is only 1.49!! The Cinnamon Plum Spiced oatmeal I bought on clearance for .99 . The sweetened wheatfuls as I pointed out earlier can be compared to Kelloggs frosted mini wheats yet they are eco friendly and alot more affordable. As I try their new products I will let you know what I think of the rest of their line but I think this will be another permanent switch in my household!

I definately hope that you all give this line a shot. The picture is a not very good one of me with my moms best, I'm going to try to include a picture of me with all the products I recommend because I know alot of bloggers that recommend products are paid to do so. I am not, I'm not affiliated in anyway with the companies that I am recommending I'm simply writing a review of a brand that I personally like!

Edit: I would like to share that I liked there facebook page and on it I saw lots of comments by eco friendly or health conscious people like myself. There were several comments on how the products could be improved or more ecofriendly including less packaging. There is still room for improvement but this is a great product at a low price.
